Intact expands into Americas with acquisition of Millennium Technology Services
Establishes local US presence to accelerate growth of Intact’s partner-focused services model across US, Canada and South America
Intact Integrated Services, the partner-focused independent provider of international project, support and managed services solutions to the ICT industry, has expanded into the US market with the acquisition of the business of Ohio-based Millennium Technology Services Inc (“Millenium”). Millennium is a Cisco-focused services operation and a member of Intact’s INSpan global support network. The acquisition will enable Intact to establish a dedicated US-based operation, targeted with accelerating the expansion of the company’s partner-focused Cisco services business across the US, Canada and South America.
The creation of Intact’s US operation through this acquisition follows the announcement in November 2009 of Intact Integrated Services Pte Ltd in Singapore to support the development of the company’s business across the Asia Pacific region. The new US operation will join Intact’s European and Asia Pacific operations to provide a comprehensive global Intact business framework that will support the continued growth of the company’s next generation INSpan global support network. INSpan now integrates the capabilities of over 75 international support partners, and offers a ‘best-of-breed’ services ecosystem that gives channel partners and their customers access to one of the strongest Cisco-focused engineering teams available anywhere.
Following the acquisition of Millennium, Intact plans to boost headcount within the organisation, with a particular focus on recruiting new project management, business development, and channel management personnel to strengthen the operation.
According to Bob Dalton, Intact Integrated Services’ Chief Executive Officer: “our current pipeline shows that there’s a real requirement for support operations centred around the global provision of services and solutions based on Cisco’s Advanced Technologies, particularly in the North and South American markets. We have already worked closely with the team at Millennium on a number of major projects and it was clear, from the synergy between our two organisations, that acquiring and investing in the Millennium business could provide Intact with a fast track entry into the US market.
