Intact Integrated Services obtains critical ISO environmental quality standard
- Demonstrates Intact’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and operating according to environmentally-sustainable principles
- Signals growing importance of environmental standards certification as part of evolving corporate procurement standards
Intact Integrated Services, the leading Cisco Service Extension Partner, has successfully achieved certification for the ISO14001: 2004 environmental standard. Intact secured full approval by NQA, the leading assessment, verification and certification body, following an intensive four month programme, and certification will now ensure that Intact is fully authorised to engage on projects that demand the highest levels of environmental certification.
NQA inspectors confirmed that Intact Integrated Services meets all the necessary criteria, the documentation and implementation of the ISO14001: 2004 environmental management system, and that its operations are both environmentally sustainable and structured to ensure the ongoing reduction of the company’s carbon footprint. This latest certification is part of Intact’s clear commitment to delivering repeatable and transferable best practice services that provide its channel customers with a high quality service backed by rigorous quality and environmental processes.
“We’re delighted to add environmental standards certification to our existing ISO 9001 Quality Management, ITIL IT Service Management and ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management certification, as we’re convinced that it’s the ability to consistently perform to these standards that allows us to give unequivocal responses to partners working on the most complex quality, information security and IT service management projects,” commented Bob Dalton, Intact’s Managing Director. “Despite current market conditions, Intact has been able to recently report double digit growth and record revenues. We believe that our standards certification and service delivery rigour has played a key part in this success.
“We know that for channel organisations particularly there’s a significant internal cost and commitment needed to secure such certification, however we believe that it’s an essential price to pay if channel firms are to compete at the highest level and perform to best practice standards. Operating to the ISO14001: 2004 environmental standard will help Intact to achieve these goals,” he continued.
2009 is proving to be an important year for Intact, with the organisation reporting record revenues, becoming an independent company operating under the Datatec banner, and also moving to its own dedicated 10,000 sq ft office building in Ascot in order to support its continued growth.
